Celebrating 50 Years

Locations

The firm grew quickly from the beginning, representing railroads, newspapers, banks, public companies, other law firms, schools, colleges, manufacturers, retailers, real estate developers and municipalities. Burns & Levinson also represented plaintiffs and defendants in liability and probate cases and will contests. After steady growth in practice and ten years at 77 Franklin Street, the firm was bursting at the seams. The attorneys moved to 45 School Street, the Old City Hall, Boston, continued to grow there for ten more years, and then decided to move to 50 Milk Street. Ten years later, in 1990, and more than 100 attorneys strong, the firm moved to 125 Summer Street, which has been the main office ever since. Burns & Levinson now has other Massachusetts locations, in Hingham and Waltham, as well as a growing office in Providence, Rhode Island.
