November 3, 2015
Burns & Levinson is proud to congratulate Fay, Spofford & Thorndike on its acquisition by Stantec Consulting, Inc. Attorneys Ray Baxter and Alison Harrall, among others, advised FST in this acquisition.
FST, an engineering, transportation planning and environmental consulting company headquartered in Burlington, Massachusetts, has nine offices located in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, Connecticut and New York. The transaction, which closed Oct. 30, 2015, bolsters Stantec’s engineering presence in the Northeast United States to more than 1,400 employees.
“Joining a highly-respected global design firm such as Stantec, which aligns with our company culture and business approach, was a tremendous opportunity for us,” said Peter Howe, President of FST. “The legal team at Burns & Levinson was crucial to completing this important transaction and allowing us to take a monumental step forward for our employees and clients.”
