Experience:
Prior to joining the firm, Bruce Jobse co-founded and managed the Boston patent law firm Kudirka & Jobse. Mr. Jobse has over twenty years experience in the intellectual property field, including working as a corporate patent counsel with IBM Corporation. Mr. Jobse prepares, prosecutes and maintains patent and trademark portfolios for clients ranging from individual inventors to large multinational corporations. His areas of focus include mechanical, electromechanical and electronic technologies, computer hardware and software, operating system architectures, networking, telecommunications, Voice Over Internet Protocol systems, multimedia systems, audio and video signal processing, business methods, including electronic commerce and financial transactions, medical devices and other related technologies. Mr. Jobse has extensive experience in software licensing, technology transfer agreements, and trade secret protection. He also renders infringement and validity opinions and counsels clients regarding litigation.
In a representative case, Mr. Jobse developed a portfolio of patents for a start-up company which were then asserted by a subsequent owner against a major corporation in a high-profile infringement litigation.
