Mr. Chapman represents lenders and borrowers in commercial bank loans and other debt financings from origination to restructurings, workouts and insolvency. He has served as bond counsel and counsel to issuers, underwriters, bond purchasers and borrowers in tax-exempt bond financings, and is listed in the Red Book of nationally-recognized bond counsel.

He represents financial institutions in state and federal regulatory matters, including matters before the Massachusetts Division of Banks. He also represents nonprofits in the fields of education, healthcare and the arts, and serves on the boards of several charitable organizations.

In the area of data security and privacy, Mr. Chapman has represented both for-profit and nonprofit clients in responses to data breaches and in the development of written privacy and information security policies. In the area of consumer regulation he represents both consumer lenders and manufacturers of consumer products on issues including consumer credit regulation to warranty liability.

Mr. Chapman represents individuals and businesses in the purchase of entire and fractional interests in aircraft, as well as lenders and leasing companies that finance aircraft. He has represented both public transportation agencies and private providers of public transportation infrastructure and services in rail, highways and aviation.

As a member of the firm’s Entertainment & Media group, Mr. Chapman has represented producers, directors and screenwriters of films.
