Mr. Gomes advises and represents clients in matters of patent preparation and prosecution. Prior to joining Burns & Levinson LLP, Mr. Gomes was Of Counsel to the firm Perkins Smith & Cohen LLP.
Prior to joining Perkins Smith & Cohen, he was Senior Patent Attorney for BAE Systems in their Integrated Electronic Warfare Systems (IEWS) in Nashua, New Hampshire. Mr. Gomes was the responsible for all aspects of the electrical engineering Intellectual Property practice at BAE Systems. Mr. Gomes has worked over a broad spectrum of technology, including semiconductor devices, opto-electronics, lasers, crystal growth, infrared sensors, digital and r.f. signal processing, analog to digital converters and radar. His legal work at BAE Systems included technology transfer, litigation, invention identification, capture and evaluation, patent preparation and prosecution, trademarks, software preparation, trade secret protection, and domain names.
