Jack Gearan joined Burns & Levinson LLP in March of 2007 after participating in the Firm’s Summer Associate Program in 2005. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Gearan was a Litigation Assistant for Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, LLP in New York, NY.
Mr. Gearan represents businesses and individuals in a wide variety of civil litigation in state and federal courts as well as in alternative dispute resolution proceedings. He has experience in all phases of commercial litigation including initial consultation, administrative proceedings, negotiation, mediation, and trial. His practice covers business and commercial law, including contract, business tort, intellectual property, product liability, and employment disputes. Mr. Gearan also focuses on environmental law, bankruptcy, and white collar criminal investigations.

Additional Information:
- While attending Suffolk University Law School, Mr. Gearan worked as a legal intern for U.S. Magistrate Judge, the Honorable Marianne B. Bowler.
- Mr. Gearan was a member of the Suffolk University Law Review where he won the award for Best Staff Competition Piece, and also served as a Comment Editor.
- Mr. Gearan was a member of the 2006 J. Braxton Craven Constitutional Moot Court Team which won the national championship.
- Mr. Gearan was a Finalist in the 2006 Tom C. Clark Appellate Advocacy Competition, and winner of the 2006 Third Year Day/Fourth Year Evening Trial Competition.
- Additionally, Mr. Gearan was the Legal Practice Skills Best Oral Advocate.
- While at Georgetown University, Mr. Gearan served as a speechwriting intern at The White House during the Clinton administration.
