Experience:
Prior to joining Burns & Levinson LLP, Mark was for many years a partner and chair of the Personal Law Group at Sherin and Lodgen LLP. Mr. Nowak's practice focuses on strategic estate and tax planning, estate and trust administration, the operation of non-profit organizations, and business succession planning. Additionally, Mark serves as a fiduciary for clients, helping to insure the proper implementation of their plans. He also has experience in corporate and health care law.
Mr. Nowak has been contributing author of the Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) practice manual, "Drafting Wills and Trusts in Massachusetts," since its inception and recently served as one of three co-editors of the manual's 2007 revision. For 2011, this manual will be expanded to a regional level and Mark has again been selected by MCLE to serve as one of the three editors in chief. Mark has been published in legal and business journals both regionally and nationally. He also has lectured on estate planning topics.
