Experience:
Prior to joining Burns & Levinson LLP in January 2006, Ms. Schepper was with the firm Perkins Smith & Cohen LLP. While at Perkins Smith & Cohen LLP, Ms. Schepper was a member of their Intellectual Property Department. Prior to that she was a legal assistant in the Firm's Corporate Law Group, gaining valuable experience handling corporate matters. She has also held legal assistant positions at other law firms in the Boston area. Ms. Schepper has over nine years of experience in the Corporate and Intellectual Property practice areas.
Prior to becoming a registered patent agent, Ms. Schepper gained significant hands-on experience as an intellectual property assistant with both U.S. and international patent filings, supporting attorneys in all phases of patent application preparation and prosecution. She interacted closely with clients, draftspersons, and foreign agents. Her everyday duties included, but were not limited to, preparing and filing U.S. and foreign utility and design patent applications, drafting petitions and responses, and researching prior art and rules of patent practice.
