Mr. Zupcofska's areas of focus include will contests, contested accountings, reformation of trusts, pre-marital agreements, divorce, adoption, guardianship, conservatorship and paternity proceedings and the specialized needs of the gay and lesbian community in all areas relevant to private client issues.
Prior to re-joining Burns & Levinson LLP, Mr. Zupcofska was a partner in the Estate Planning Group at the law firm Bingham McCutchen LLP. He was formerly Assistant Register at Norfolk County Probate and Family Court. He has served as guardian ad litem in a number of probate and family law cases, special administrator, as commissioner in insolvency, discovery master, commissioner for purposes of partitioning real property and as counsel for children.
Mr. Zupcofska has been sought out to provide commentary on pending family law and probate matters, having been quoted in TIME Magazine, The Wall Street Journal, The Boston Globe, Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly and has been interviewed on NPR radio. He is also noted in a Gentlemen's Quarterly (GQ) magazine article in the July 2007 issue and the subject of a DETAILS magazine profile in the October 2011 issue. Mr. Zupcofska is a contributing author to the MCLE publication A Practical Guide to Estate Planning in Massachusetts.
