Burns & Levinson LLP Welcomes Five New Attorneys

Boston, MA - October 27, 2008

Burns & Levinson LLP, a Boston-based leading law firm with offices in Massachusetts and Rhode Island, announces that C. Russell Hansen, Of Counsel, and Associates Alison R. Conboy, Tiffany M. Howard, Kathleen Sullivan and Tal Unrad have joined the Firm. The addition of these attorneys continues our growth plan and strengthens our Business and Private Client Practices. “Russ’ wealth of experience in representing public and private companies adds depth to our growing securities and general corporate practices,” said David P. Rosenblatt, Managing Partner.

C. Russell Hansen (Of Counsel) is a member of the Firm’s Corporate and Securities Groups. Mr. Hansen has over 30 years of experience in private practice and as in-house and general counsel, representing many companies regarding securities law compliance, securities registration, exemptions, filings, periodic and other reports, strategic partnering, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital finance, debt and equity financing and other business transactions. Mr. Hansen is Managing Director of The Board Place, a corporate governance and board performance consultancy that provides board and trustee service, director search services, continuing director education, board evaluation, board operations improvement and other board consulting services and Co-Founder and a Managing Director of Board Leaders, LLC, a business organization of directors. He received a J.D. from Harvard Law School and A.B. from Harvard College.

Alison R. Conboy (Associate) is a member of the Firm’s Corporate Group. She joined Burns & Levinson LLP in September 2008 after participating in the Firm’s Summer Associate Program in 2007. While attending law school Ms. Conboy served as a legal intern at Sun Life Financial. Ms. Conboy received a J.D., magna cum laude, from Roger Williams University School of Law in 2008. She also received a B.B.A., cum laude, from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst in 2002.

Tiffany M. Howard (Associate) is a member of the Firm’s Private Client Group. She joined Burns & Levinson LLP in September 2008, after participating in the Denver based firm Rothgerber, Johnson & Lyons, LLP’s Summer Associate Program in 2007 and serving as a law clerk at the Denver based firm Stevens, Littman, Biddison, Tharp & Weinberg, LLC. She received a J.D. from University of Colorado Law School in 2008 and a B.A., summa cum laude, from Curry College in 2002.

Kathleen Sullivan (Associate) is a member of the Business Litigation Group. She joined the Firm in September 2008, after participating in the Firm’s Summer Associate Program in 2007. Ms. Sullivan received her J.D., cum laude, from New England School of Law in 2008, her M.A. in Social Work, summa cum laude from Temple University and B.A. in Spanish and B.S. in Social Work, summa cum laude from Niagara University in 2000.

Tal Unrad (Associate) is a member of the Firm’s Corporate Group. Prior to joining Burns & Levinson in September 2008, he served as a law clerk in the Bond & Financial Products Division of Travelers Insurance and participated in the Firm’s Summer Associate Program in 2007. Previously, Mr. Unrad served as a Public Affairs Officer at the Consulate General of Israel to New England. Mr. Unrad received a J.D. from University of Connecticut School of Law in 2008 and a B.A. from Tufts University in 2002.
