David Rosenblatt Elected Member of the Boston Bar Association Council

The Boston Bar Association has announced that Burns & Levinson Managing Partner,David P. Rosenblatt has been elected to serve as a member of the Association’s governing Council for the 2014-2015 program year. He will assume this position on September 1, 2014.

Mr. Rosenblatt has participated in the BBA in a wide variety of activities and leadership positions. He served as Co-Chair of the BBA Summer Jobs Program from 2010-2012 and served as a member of the Steering Committees of the Environmental Law Section and the John and Abigail Adams Benefit on numerous occasions. Among his professional achievements, in 2008, Mr. Rosenblatt was elected to the American College of Environmental Lawyers and in 2013 was elected to the College of Law Practice Management. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Boston Chamber of Commerce.

“The Boston Bar Association is one of the most influential and respected bar associations in the country,” Mr. Rosenblatt said. “It’s a terrific resource and support for our legal community, and I am honored to have been elected to serve on its governing body, the BBA Council, for the next three years.”

Mr. Rosenblatt has practiced at Burns & Levinson throughout his 32-year legal career. He has served as the firm’s Managing Partner since 1998 and as chair of the firm’s Environmental Practice Group since the late 1980s. Mr. Rosenblatt is a graduate of Trinity College and Boston College Law School.

The Boston Bar Association is a non-profit, voluntary membership organization of 11,000 attorneys drawn from private practice, corporations, government agencies, legal aid organizations, the courts, and law schools. The Council serves as the governing body of the Association. It sets Association policy, makes major financial decisions, and provides crucial oversight on behalf of its members. Members of the Council support the Association’s mission to advance the highest standards of excellence for the legal profession, to facilitate access to justice, and to serve the community at large.
