Attorney Caitlin E. Barrett Joins Burns & Levinson

Burns & Levinson LLP is pleased to announce the addition of Caitlin E. Barrett as a new associate in the firm’s Corporate Group. Ms. Barrett advises public and private companies in a variety of transactional matters, including debt financings, mergers and acquisitions, divestitures and other general corporate matters. She also counsels clients on securities law compliance and corporate governance.
“Caitlin’s experience and keen client service skills make her a great addition to our growing practice,” said Josef Volman, co-chairman of the firm’s Corporate Group. “We’re thrilled to have her on our team.”
Prior to joining Burns & Levinson, Ms. Barrett was an associate in the corporate department at Ropes & Gray, where her areas of focus included leveraged finance transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate matters.
Ms. Barrett received a J.D. from the Northeastern University School of Law in 2009, and a B.S. from Georgetown University in 2006. During law school, she was a Marshall-Brennan Constitutional Literacy Project Teaching Fellow. She has also held internships with the Honorable Peter Agnes, Jr., the Massachusetts State Senate Counsel, and a Boston-based pharmaceutical company. She is admitted to practice in Massachusetts, and is a member of the Boston Bar Association, the Massachusetts Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
