Burns & Levinson LLP welcomes Richard G. Asoian as of counsel in the Trusts and Estates practice and the Private Client group.

"We are proud to welcome Dick to the firm," said Burns & Levinson Managing Partner David Rosenblatt. "His arrival complements our team in the areas of trusts and estates, business succession planning and corporate governance."

Dick, who previously was a partner at Hinckley Allen, represents individuals and family business owners to formulate their estate plans, to minimize estate taxes and administrative expenses while meeting their personal needs and the objectives of their family. He advises business owners regarding the orderly continuation and disposition of their businesses, whether they are transferred to family members or sold to a third party. Dick also represents executors in the administration of estates and serves as counsel to banks and trust companies that are serving as trustees.

Admitted to practice law in Massachusetts, Dick speaks at various seminars for trust companies, insurance companies and financial advisors about succession planning, tax planning, family planning and charitable planning. He will work out of the firm's Boston and Andover offices.

Dick holds a J.D. from Boston University School of Law and a B.A. from Monmouth College.

Trusts and estates attorneys at Burns & Levinson use a strategic and multidisciplinary approach involving all aspects of tax, corporate, real estate, and family law, as well as probate, fiduciary and business litigation that may intersect with an individual's estate plan. The resulting arrangements seamlessly provide an orderly transition of preserved wealth.
