Kelly Kirby is an associate in the firm's Litigation Group. She maintains broad experience practicing before state and federal courts in various jurisdictions, including trial, pre-trial settlement negotiation, mediation, and arbitration.

Through her years as a litigation associate, Kelly has cultivated exceptional legal research and writing skills, honed through prolific motion practice. She is adept at preparing litigation plans that provide clients analyses of liabilities and damages, and that inform optimal go-forward strategies. Kelly most enjoys communicating these strategies to her clients, believing that a clear plan diminishes some of the unpredictability associated with litigation.

During her time at University of Connecticut School of Law, from which she graduated cum laude, Kelly worked as a litigation law clerk for a large national firm, a mid-size local firm, and the State of Connecticut Office of the Attorney General. She was a research assistant to a corporate law professor, earned her Tax Studies Certificate through the completion of numerous tax courses and the drafting of a significant research paper, and earned high honors for a paper concerning SEC disclosure guidelines on risks related to climate change. Kelly also competed in the Loiselle Moot Court Competition, advocating her way to the Finalist Rounds, and kept herself active as a member of the UConn Law Soccer Club.

Before attending law school, Kelly graduated magna cum laude from Boston University’s School of Management Honors Program, where she concentrated in Finance and Law. While at BU, Kelly studied abroad in Sydney, Australia, where she interned at PricewaterhouseCoopers Legal, working with attorneys to advise clients on a new legal entity created to give more expansive tax concessions to angel investors.
