Pegah Karimi focuses her practice in the high-tech area, particularly in the fields of physics, electrical and mechanical engineering and medical devices. Pegah assists clients with the preparation and prosecution of patent applications, competitive landscape analyses, and due diligence evaluations.

Prior to joining the firm, Pegah was an in-house patent attorney at Olympus Corporation, where she has assisted in drafting and managing the worldwide patent portfolios of two of Olympus’ global business units. During her tenure at Olympus, she has conducted numerous landscape analyses, freedom to operate, and due diligence evaluations.

Pegah has had previous patent prosecution experience as a technical specialist at McCarter & English, LLP, where she has drafted and prosecuted patent applications in a broad range of fields, including semiconductor processing and devices, fuel cells, mechanical systems, medical devices, and material science.

Before entering the legal profession, her technical experience focused on multidisciplinary areas of physics, nanotechnology, semiconductor fabrication, mechanical and electrical engineering. She received her Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from Northeastern University, where her dissertation involved removal of nano-particles from MEMS structures. Her research has been published in leading scientific journals and presented at several scientific meetings.
