Dr. Ronda Moore is a partner in the firm’s Intellectual Property Group. Before becoming a patent attorney, Ronda was an academic with expertise in veterinary pathology, success as a federally funded principal investigator in cell biology research, and a passion for teaching. She brings her life science background and knowledge to the table while counseling life science clients in pursuit of a cost effective worldwide strategic patent portfolio and maintenance of patents in geographic areas of commercial interest. Innovative life science companies relate to Ronda's deep experience and knowledge in the life sciences.

Experience

Experience

  • Represented a company with a wound healing product in developing a worldwide patent portfolio strategy, in defending patent infringement through appeal in a US federal court, reexamination and interference proceedings in the US Patent Office, and multiple opposition proceedings in the European Patent Office.
  • Represented a medical device company in an Inter Partes Review proceeding in the U.S. Patent Office.
  • Represented a company in conducting intellectual property due diligence in the acquisition of a European medical device company and a US based medical device company.
  • Conducted numerous freedom-to-operate, invalidity and patentability opinions in the medical device space.
  • Managed and developed worldwide patent procurement strategies for start-up medical device companies as well as established medical device companies with patent application filings in Europe, Japan, Australia, Canada, China and South Korea, for example.
