Saqib Z. Hossain works with lenders, developers, investors, and other public and private entities to successfully manage energy projects, particularly in the renewables space. His experience spans the full spectrum of energy-related matters, and he routinely advises clients on the development, financing, acquisition, and disposition of energy projects, along with related regulatory issues.

Saqib’s comprehensive background enables him to efficiently navigate all stages of the project life cycle. He is well versed in project finance structures and permitting matters alike, and regularly drafts and negotiates key project documents, including power purchase agreements, site leases, and EPC contracts.

In addition to his transactional energy practice, Saqib has represented various organizations, trade associations, ratepayer groups, and municipalities before federal and state courts, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, the Massachusetts Department of Public Utilities, the New Hampshire Public Utilities Commission, and other regulatory agencies in connection with energy infrastructure and policy matters.

Prior to joining Burns, Saqib worked as in-house counsel to a prominent, commercial-scale solar energy firm in Boston.
