Saqib Hossain's practice involves both transactional and litigation related energy work, with a particular focus on renewable energy law, energy infrastructure, solar project development, and state and federal regulatory policy. Prior to joining Burns & Levinson, Saqib worked as in-house counsel to a prominent commercial-scale solar energy firm in Boston.

Saqib works with project developers, investors, and other public and private entities on a wide variety of matters pertaining to the acquisition, development, financing, construction, operation and maintenance of power generation facilities.  He is experienced in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts throughout the project life-cycle, including lease agreements, power purchase agreements, engineering, procurement and construction agreements.

In addition to his transactional practice, Saqib has represented various organizations, trade associations, ratepayer groups, and municipalities before federal and state courts, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, the Massachusetts Department of Public Utilities, the New Hampshire Public Utilities Commission, and other regulatory agencies in connection with energy infrastructure and policy matters.
