Burns & Levinson Adds Three Attorneys and a Patent Agent to Firm’s Roster

Boston, MA, Oct. 29, 2021 – Burns & Levinson has added three lateral attorneys – Victoria Calcagno, Maria Katherine (Kat) Delos Reyes, and Sean Salimi – to its team. Gabriel Hendricks, Ph.D. has also joined the firm as a patent agent.

Victoria Calcagno is an associate in the Private Client Group, where she focuses her practice on trusts and estates. Before joining the firm, Calcagno was a law clerk for Chief Justice Kimberly Budd at the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court. She received her J.D., magna cum laude, from New England Law, and her B.A., cum laude, from University of Massachusetts.

Maria Katherine (Kat) Delos Reyes is an associate in the Intellectual Property Group, where she focuses her practice on copyright, trademark and data privacy matters. She joined the firm from Boston Children’s Hospital, where she helped doctors and researchers collaborate with industry partners and academic medical centers on clinical trials. She earned her J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law with concentrations in intellectual property & innovation and data privacy and her B.A. in political science from the University of California, Riverside.

Sean Salimi is an associate in the firm’s Intellectual Property Group, where he focuses on patent preparation and prosecution. He is also a registered patent agent. He received his J.D. from University of New Hampshire Franklin Pierce School of Law, his B.S. in computer science from the University of Maryland Global Campus and his B.A. in biology from Villanova University.

Gabriel Hendricks, Ph.D. is a U.S. patent agent in the firm’s Intellectual Property Group, where he will continue to focus on patent prosecution in the fields of biotechnology including cancer biology and therapeutics, immunology, small molecule therapeutics, and research tools. He joined the firm from the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, where he managed all aspects of WHOI’s patent portfolio across various technologies. He received his Ph.D. in biomedical research from the University of Massachusetts Medical School and his B.A. in biology from Oberlin College.
