Burns & Levinson Partner Named Moderator of Boston Probate and Estate Planning Forum

Burns & Levinson LLP is pleased to announce that attorney Clifford R. Cohen will serve as moderator of the Boston Probate and Estate Planning Forum for the 2011-2012 year. The Boston Probate and Estate Planning Forum is an association of experienced and senior-level trusts and estates attorneys in Massachusetts, which meets monthly to discuss topics of interest in the fields of probate, estate planning, tax and trust administration; guest speakers are attorneys with significant expertise, as well as academics, government officials, and professionals in related fields. Cohen was previously Program Chair for 2010-2011.

Cohen is a partner and chairman of the firm’s Trusts & Estates Group. He concentrates his practice in estate planning, trust law, and estate administration. He advises clients in planning the disposition of their own estates as well as those who are serving as fiduciaries or are beneficiaries. He has extensive experience with transfer tax issues and expertise in the related estate planning techniques used to minimize such taxes. Cohen received his J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law in 1989 and B.A., magna cum laude from Hofstra University in 1975.
