Congratulations to Midroll Media on Their Acquisition
August 11, 2015
Burns & Levinson LLP is proud to congratulate its client Midroll Media, the leading podcast company in the U.S., on its recent acquisition by E.W. Scripps Company.
“Burns & Levinson was a great match for all of our needs,” said Adam Sachs, CEO of Midroll. “Joe Volman and his team did a terrific job, were highly responsive and helped us to achieve a great result.”
Los Angeles-based Midroll creates original podcasts and operates a network that generates revenue for more than 200 shows, including “StartUp” and “Nerdist.” Under the terms of the deal, which was announced July 22, Midroll’s leadership team will remain at the helm of the company, where they will continue to create high-quality content.
“It was a privilege to work with Midroll on this transaction. This deal demonstrates our deep experience with middle-market mergers and acquisitions and our reputation as deal closers who understand technology,” said Joe Volman, partner and co-chair of the firm’s Corporate group. “Podcasting is an evolving sector and Midroll is well-positioned to continue to grow and lead the industry.”
