With 12 years of litigation experience as a former assistant attorney general for the Rhode Island Attorney General’s Office and chief of the Kent County Office, Laura has extensive jury trial and courtroom expertise that exceeds that of many civil court attorneys. She spent many years in the Child Abuse and Special Victims units, working with the Rhode Island Department of Children, Youth, and Families and establishing relationships with local therapists, state police, Hasbro Children’s Hospital, and the Lawrence A. Aubin, Sr. Child Protection Center. Additionally, she has experience with child advocacy interviews, victim impact statements, and domestic violence cases.
