U.S. News Media Group and Best Lawyers have released the 2013 “Best Law Firms” rankings, providing a comprehensive view of the U.S. legal profession that is unprecedented both in the range of firms represented and in the range of qualitative and quantitative data used to develop the rankings.

Boston-based law firm Burns & Levinson LLP received multiple national and metropolitan rankings in numerous practice areas. The firm ranked nationally in Tier 2 for Bankruptcy Litigation, Environmental Litigation, Intellectual Property Litigation, Patent Law and Trademark Law; and Tier 3 for Commercial Litigation.

The firm also achieved metropolitan rankings for the Boston area in Commercial Litigation, Individual Employment Law, Family Law, Bankruptcy Litigation, Eminent Domain & Condemnation Litigation, Intellectual Property Litigation, Trusts & Estates Litigation, and Patent Law. Tier 3 Boston metropolitan rankings were achieved in the Bankruptcy and Creditor Debtor Rights/Insolvency and Reorganization Law, Patent Litigation and Trusts & Estates Law.

Burns & Levinson also received a Tier 1 metropolitan ranking for Rhode Island in Trusts & Estates Litigation; Tier 2 metropolitan ranking for Rhode Island in Environmental Law, and Tier 3 ranking for Rhode Island in Environmental Litigation.
