Clients ranging from Fortune 100 entities to closely held family-owned businesses come to Larry Green because he is a problem-solver. His litigation experience, industry knowledge and keen intellect enable him to diagnose the problem at the outset and present to the client a series of options. Larry then applies his skill as a trial attorney to achieve the right result and in a manner consistent with the client’s budgetary expectations.

Larry has successfully litigated cases in federal and state trial and appellate courts throughout the country in a wide range of cases in the areas of antitrust, bankruptcy and creditors rights, employment and non-competition, fiduciary duty, franchise law, intellectual property and shareholders rights. Among the clients that have called upon him are AT&T, Azoff Music Management, Boston Opera House, Dari-Farms Ice Cream, Expedia.com, Hewlett–Packard, Illinois Tool Works, Ken’s Foods, Lady Grace Stores, Lindenmeyr Munroe, LiveNation, Lucent Technologies, Minolta Business Systems, Ravago and Sir Speedy Printing. During the course of his litigation practice, Larry has developed great knowledge of a number of industries, including commercial printing, equipment leasing, pharmaceutical, restaurants/food service and telecommunications.

Litigation can be time-consuming and expensive. Working on a hands on basis with his clients, Larry helps them understand their options and set their goals, fully conscious of their budgetary expectations. Larry has acquired a great reputation among fellow members of the bar, and he commands their respect. As a result, Larry is often able achieve a settlement of the matter without the need for trial. Larry has also developed great respect of judges, and when the time does come to go to trial, he has a remarkable record of winning his cases. 

Larry is often retained in matters in which the primary defendant in insolvent. Larry brings his experience and skill to find the “deep pocket”, whether it be the shareholders who have bankrupted the defendant company, the accounting firm that misrepresented the financial worth of the company or the parties that have received fraudulent transfers from the primary defendant.

He is regularly retained in family business disputes, where the legal issues are compounded by the emotional family issues. Bringing a sensitivity to the situation, but also a toughness and resolve to achieve the right result, Larry has achieved great success in negotiating very favorable settlements for his clients, with the desired financial result reached, together with a return to family harmony.

Experience

Successful defense of $24 million claim for fraudulent conveyance/breaches of fiduciary duty in a case tried before the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, D.Maine.

Winning a jury verdict o $2.2 million, plus attorney’s fees, on behalf of a female executive employee who was terminated following complaints of sexual harassment.

Successful prosecution of an antitrust action to obtain reversal of a decision of a large commercial landlord not to renew the client’s lease, obtaining renewal of the lease together with attorney’s fees.

Obtaining a multi-million dollar settlement on behalf of a client who had been “frozen out” of his family business.

Successful prosecution of a claim against an accounting firm to redressing its negligence in connection with their audit of the financials of a defunct corporation.

Multiple cases involving obtaining court orders to place defunct companies into receivership, leading to a takeover of the corporate records and successful pursuit of claims against shareholders and officers.

For over 15 years, Larry served as the President of the American Jewish Society for Service, a non-profit organization providing community service opportunities for teens to serve in impoverished communities throughout America. 

Currently, Larry serves as President of Temple Ohabei Shalom in Brookline, the oldest and longest standing synagogue in Massachusetts.
