Michael Andreasen's practice focuses on general corporate, mergers & acquisitions, finance, securities, venture capital and private equity matters. He has experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating various corporate contracts, assisting with securities law compliance, and providing support in areas of equity compensation, corporate governance and investor relations.
Michael works with public, private, and start-up companies in a diverse range of industries, including technology and life sciences, sports, and hospitality. Michael has experience representing both buyers and sellers in M&A transactions, borrowers and lenders in debt financings, and companies and investors in equity financings.
Prior to joining Burns & Levinson LLP, Michael served as associate counsel at a medical diagnostic device manufacturer and service provider based in Waltham, MA, where he focused on securities reporting, M&A and general corporate matters. He also worked at Northeastern University’s Venture Accelerator, where he assisted a high volume of start-up companies with navigating early-stage corporate and IP matters. While in law school, Michael served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Judge Brassard in Suffolk Superior Court in Boston, MA.
Before becoming a lawyer, Michael earned a degree in Mathematics with a focus in actuarial science and quantitative finance.
