Burns & Levinson Adds Four Lateral Attorneys

Boston, MA, Nov. 1, 2022 – Burns & Levinson has added four lateral attorneys – Devon BodeyRebecca ChristonSofia Martinez-Guasch, and Donald Slater, Jr. – to its team.

Devon Bodey is an associate in the Business Litigation & Dispute Resolution Group, where she represents clients during all stages of litigation and dispute resolution. Bodey joined the firm from a regional defense firm where she primarily represented physicians and healthcare providers in malpractice actions, as well as working on a variety of complex civil litigation matters. She received her J.D., cum laude, from Suffolk University Law School and her B.S., cum laude, from the University of Connecticut.

Rebecca Christon is an associate in the firm’s Intellectual Property Group. She is a registered patent attorney with over a decade of experience counseling clients in worldwide patent and trademark procurement strategies. Christon joined the firm from a boutique patent law firm. She received her J.D. and LL.M. in intellectual property from the University of New Hampshire Franklin Pierce School of Law and her B.S. in chemistry from the University of New Hampshire.

Sofia Martinez-Guasch is an associate in the firm’s Trusts and Estates Group, where she focuses on the planning and administration of complex trusts and estates. A native Spanish speaker, Sofia is actively involved with Minds Matter Boston, a non-profit organization that supports high school students from low-income communities with resources to prepare for college. She received her J.D. from Suffolk University Law School, where she served as President of the Women’s Law Association, and her B.A. from Northeastern University.

Donald Slater, Jr. is an associate in the firm’s Business Law Group, where he focuses on business and finance transactions, middle-market M&A and private equity, securities and capital markets, and financial restructuring and distressed transactions. He previously served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Judge Frank J. Bailey (Ret.) in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court District of Massachusetts. He received his J.D. from Suffolk University Law School and his B.A. from the University of Connecticut.
